Is AAYO operating-system dependent?

NO. AAYO is not dependent on an operating system. To use it you only need Internet access and an up to date Web browser.

What are the browsers that are supported by AAYO?

We recommend to use up to date versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE11 but AAYO should work on any other modern browser.

Because AAYO must use popups you MUST allow popups from the domain aayo.ws in your browser.

Do I need to pay for using AAYO? Is AAYO a free tool?

I have some unanswered questions. How do I get in touch with the support team?

Would you have to ask a question to better understand our guidelines, just use the embedded comments at the bottom of each wiki page. Otherwise you should contact your regional platform administrator.

Can I create my Online Presence Management from scratch?

YES. AAYO is a complete solution for managing your online presence. With AAYO you can get:

  • Facebook - Whenever you create an article, poster, event or offer you can publish a summary on the organization's Facebook page(s), on the groups you are member of, or on any other Facebook page you have rights to post.
  • Twitter - A summary any of your item (article, poster, event, offer, ...) can be published on any Twitter account you have rights to post.
  • YouTube - You can publish your videos on your organization YouTube account. These videos can be linked to your content but they are also visible on the YouTube platform and in the Google search.
  • LinkedIn - A summary of your item can be published on your organization LinkedIn page, as well as in any groups you have the right to post.
  • Xing - You can publish a summary of your item on your Xing page.
  • Your OWN Mobile Application - Would you be a medium organization who need its OWN mobile presence, AAYO powers your own mobile application. It can be branded with your desired name, logo, playstore description and so on. Contact your regional platform administrator for more details.

What is a Publishing Channel?

Publishing channels are any of the following:

  • Web channel: your website(s) - world wide accessible, indexed by search engines.
  • Social media channels: Facebook (User, Pages, Own Groups), Twitter (Accounts),LinkedIn (User, Pages), Xing(User)...
  • Mobile channel: your organization mobile application and/or your AAYO community app.

Can I publish on other people personal account?

NO. When you login to AAYO you can publish ONLY ON CHANNELS YOU SET (see My Channels menu). There is no way to publish content on other organization channels or other third-party channels.

What is the organization team?

An organization team is a group of AAYO users acting on behalf of an AAYO registered organization. A team has ONLY ONE ADMINISTRATOR and many team members. Members may not be aware of other members, while the administrator can manage the team (see Team menu of administrator)

Can I save the published content on my computer?

NO. AAYO is a Cloud platform which saves the data on its servers. However, would you like to save the content locally, then proceed like with any other web page. Go to your website and use your browser to save that page.

YES, AAYO provides a data backup solution would you need your raw data. Contact your regional administrator on this matter.

Does AAYO imposes any limits on content creation?

NO. AAYO does not impose any content creation limits. You can create as many items (articles, posters, videos, events, offers, and more) as you like.

AAYO Publishing

When should I publish an Article?

The Article is the most comprehensive kind of content and consists of a title/headline, summary, main image and body as are they described by Wikipedia Article (publishing) page. It should be used to inform your prospects and customers about certain novelties of your organization or business.

When should I publish a Poster?

The Poster is a form of promotion by informing your customers of any news concerning your organization. It is mainly focused on communicating visually (through an image) but it may contain a description explaining further what it is about. In this sense it is similar to the article but it's content is much more short and simple.

When should I publish a Video?

The Video is a form of promotion by visually informing (through a video) your customers and prospects but it may contain a description explaining further what it is about. In this sense it is similar to the poster but it's main content is a video. You can publish ANY video hosted by YouTube even it is not your own production.

When should I publish an Event?

The Event is a form of promotion, announcing an event that will be organized by your organization. It has a duration, and a location (by default is set as your organization's address). These will be complemented on the channels by human language interpretation (ex: "more than 5h to end") and by showing the location on the map so it is very important that you provide the correct data. The event is better suited for promoting events which cover a longer period or a wider range of services.

When should I publish an Offer?

The Offer is a basic way of promotion, it is perfect for announcing the (discount) price of a product. It will show a price and the period of validity for the offer. In the mobile channel it can include the 2-click-buying feature, if applicable.

Can I delete my published items?

YES. You can delete your published content. AAYO allows you to remove the item from ALL Channels or, selectively, from a specific channel (e.g., delete from a specific Facebook page).

Can I make changes in an item that is already published?

NO. Once you publish an item it cannot be changed anymore. The only way to achieve a change is to remove this item and create a new one. However, you can use the cloning feature which will reuse your previous work saving time and effort.

What text formatting options does AAYO offer?

AAYO Publisher allows you to write simple content i.e., simple text with plain links, as well as more complex one (full fledged HTML editor).

Can I crop an image? If so, how?

YES. Use AAYO Media Manager (check the menu).

Can I add a video to an item (article/poster/event/offer)?

YES. Any of your YouTube channel videos or other YouTube videos (you need to know the link) can be embedded into your content.

Can I include lists in my content?

YES. You MUST use advanced publishing (i.e., HTML editor). Then usual constructs of HTML lists can be used.

Can I include slide shows in my content?

YES, if your website template allow this (and under advanced publishing). Contact your platform manager to learn more about that.

Can I copy an image and paste it in different items?

NO. You don't have to copy/paste images. You'll find all your images in the Media Assets Manager.

Does AAYO supports CSS animations?

YES. Contact your platform manager for more details.

Can I have a Website with AAYO ?

YES. In less than 2 hours you can probably configure your own website. Inform your platform manager about the web domain name binding (your website name).

Can I have a default landing page for my website?

YES. You can set from a broad range of options as you can see in the Web settings page.

Can my website show my organization opening hours?

YES. See Opening Hours Widget in the Website settings and configuration page.

Can I pin my latest article on my website front page?

Actually NO. But, for example, you can create a simple Standard Widget with a link to the post you like to promote.

Can I pin my newest event on the website front page?

YES. You can always show the last published event on the front page by using the Event Widget.

Can I pin my newest offer on my website front page?

Can I add a static text on my website front page?

YES. Use our Text Widget. Notice that this widget also supports HTML but no scripting (NO JavaScript and NO iframes)

Can I show a list of my latest posts?

YES. You must use the Post Entries Widget.

Can my website embed my Facebook followers widget?

YES. You should use our Standard Widget allowing you to embed the necessary Facebook code.

Can my website embed my Twitter followers widget?

YES. Use the standard widget allowing you to embed the necessary Twitter code. For example:

Does my website support JavaScript? Can I add my own scripts?

YES. You can do that by using the Standard Widget. However, you must understand that inserting foreign JavaScript code on your website can harm it. If you really need this it is probably better to first contact your regional platform manager.

Can I have a Mobile App with AAYO ?

YES. Ask your platform manager. Your app will support notifications, direct user interactions and more. It is an extra service for which you have to pay once (see Extra Services on http://www.aayo.ws )

Which Social networks are available in AAYO?

AAYO is currently available for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Xing.

How can I bind a channel to My Channels ?

This is one of the first tasks you need to perform, before start publishing. Go to My Channels menu and click on Add Channel button on the corresponding platfrom (Facebook, Twitter, ...). A popup loading a specific platform page will open. You have to allow AAYO apps to bind your channels. You'll get an error if you try to bind too many channels (more than you have in your organization package). Notice that this binding will stay valid as soon as the third party platform (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter, LinkedIn ...) will NOT expire the access token. After that a new subscription is necessary (see the legend about your channels health in the My Channels page)

Can people react to my published content?

YES. People can react on your content anywhere it is published. Your readers can: comment, rate, like and share your content. AAYO has a sophisticated reaction tool, monitoring the reactions of your readers on ALL distribution channels. You get informed and can answer immediately, whenever a reader react on a specific channel (comments on an article on your website, comments/likes a photo on Facebook, ... ).

Can I share my published content with specific people?

YES. Use the AAYO toolbar to share on Facebook, Twitter or Google+. If you have an AAYO website check the permalink of the post you like to share.

Can people rate my content?

YES. By clicking on the rating stars of the AAYO toolbar they can rate your content from 1 star to 5 stars.

Can people join my events?

YES. Like on Facebook, people can join a published event. The analytics module informs about the number of participation intents.

Can people claim my offers?

YES. Any user of your own mobile app or of the community mobile app can claim an offer. In some cases AAYO implements a 2-click-buy solution allowing you to get fast informed on any customer claim. Of course, you are able to immediately inform your customer (our apps use dedicated customer notification service) and deliver.
